The FA Mascot
For many years the group has lacked only one thing - an official mascot.
Thanks to Bettie Heckford, that problem has now been solved.
The FA website is proud to announce the appointment of Dillie the dog as official group mascot.
Dillie is a pure bred Irish Setter. She was born on 30th July 1999 as one of a litter of 12.
Dillie's owner, Bettie Heckford has been a fan for many years. She can be seen below in a photograph taken at the party hosted by the girls to mark the splitting up of the group on Saturday April 15th 1989.

May 2000
| Dillie has grown quite a bit in the last few months. Dillie the dog has
developed a great fondness for shoes - just like the real Dillie!
Bettie says that Dillie has destroyed six pairs of shoes and has had a good chew at three other pairs at least! |

| On the 6th of January 2001, Dillie the dog had an unexpected encounter with a startled horse. She suffered a broken neck but survived. She is currently wearing a large (and colourful) bandage and is in some pain. The outcome is not certain but her owner remains optimistic. |
